I'm getting a lot more viewers since I started talking about Ebola.
I think it makes sense since I'm talking about something that could kill off over half of the world's population and it's hard to find any one else talking about it, yet.
CNBC is starting to have some articles about it and I've seen some mainstream TV articles about it, so they aren't totally ignoring it.
Even the things I'm seeing on the Internet are trying to gloss it over. I was watching a doctor on CNBC who was saying that it's not very contagious and it's no worse than malaria and other tropical diseases.
I have doubts about it not being all that contagious since so many medical personnel are coming down with it. It's beginning to look like it''s airborne. After all, wouldn't a doctor who is treating someone who got sick on a plane from Liberia take all sorts of precautions? Why did he catch it?
Now I'm wondering how many people on that plane are now spreading it.
Getting back to the two Americans who were brought back from Africa to treat their Ebola. Apparently they were given an experimental treatment that worked (at least for the first one).
I found some information about their medicine. First of all, it won't be in production until next year. It's made with tobacco plants and mouse DNA. A friend of mine said that it sounded like witchcraft to him.
I have to wonder if the ruling 0.5% of the rich people have found a way to get rid of us poor people and simply bribe their way out of getting the disease. With enough money they should be able to just buy their way out of this like they buy their way out of everything else.
I should mention that the reason I think this epidemic is so important is that it appears to multiply at an exponential rate. To me, it looks like the number of new cases doubles every two weeks. That might not be so many right now but if that pattern continues it will spread throughout the world in six months or so. I feel that we are looking at the possibility of a mass die-off. Only time will tell.
I saw something a few days ago that stated that we should know how bad it will be within a week. I think he was right. If the people on that plane start coming down with Ebola it could spread throughout the world a lot faster than I thought it would. I'm not sure that we would know if it's airborne yet. If that guy was vomiting in the toilet a lot of people who used the toilet might have been more exposed to it. There might have been a lot of people exposed to body fluids on that plane, so we still won't know if it's airborne.
I saw that various health agencies are funding $260 million to fight Ebola. That's a lot more than the $385,000 that was spent so far. Maybe it's getting the recognition that it deserves. I only hope that it's in time.

More about the Ebola Outbreak
First of all, I want to say that bringing those sick doctors home from Africa was not only a stupid move in regards to the possibility of spreading the disease but it was incredibly racist as well. Would anyone even consider bringing home a black doctor?
I think not. And I'm rather racist myself. I consider that too bigoted for me to do if I were in decision making position. I hope that the spokesmen for the blacks pick up on it.
Anyway it seemed to me to be incredibly stupid to bring anyone with Ebola to the U.S.A. It will get here soon enough. We don't need to speed up the process.
Someone on one of the prepper channels said that he heard that they were brought here so medical personnel could investigate a new form of Ebola that these two apparently have. Maybe that would make sense; I don't see any other reason for such stupidity.
The financial panic seems to be moving faster than I thought it would. I was watching an interview of a woman who shut down her business in Liberia and returned home to America. She said that sales (apparently clothing sales) had slowed down to the point that it didn't make much sense to stay open anyway.
I have two points to make about that. First, it appears that a lot of people are leaving Africa and coming to the U.S.A. to avoid the epidemic. That means they'll bring the virus with them earlier than I expected. Second, the financial fallout is already severe and it will get worse. This could start the financial panic earlier and harder than I expected.
I think we'll know what to expect by next week.
If masses of people start dying in the U.S. this month I might move to La Crosse and spend my time at the Christian Science reading room. Maybe I'll drop everything and go out to California early. I could borrow some money from Faye and I think that would qualify as an emergency.
I think I'll start posting on my blog a lot more often until the Ebola outbreak dies down.

Is it Time to Panic Yet?
Is it alright to yell "Fire" in a crowded theatre when there is a fire?
I think it is. That's why I'm bringing up the word "panic".
There are two things I'm considering panicking about. The first is the Ebola outbreak, and the second is the financial collapse. I feel that they are related.
The Ebola outbreak (even if it blows over, now) will cause the financial collapse. We are already seeing countries shut down travel to places with Ebola, and that will only get worse from here on out.
That and several other things such as Argentina defaulting on it's debt will slow down the world's economy.
At this point, all the Federal Reserve can do is to reduce it's spending. They know that they will have to increase it during the collapse so they have to reduce quantitative easing now. That will ensure that they will be able to increase spending during a worse crisis.
Getting back to the Ebola outbreak; I wouldn't head to the hills quite yet. If the number of newly sick people goes up sharply, maybe you should next week. Something I read this week said that we should know soon how bad the crisis is.
I don't know what I can do if it does get a lot worse. I have a bug out vehicle but I'm still waiting for the electronics on it to be repaired. Now, I have no hot water, furnace, refrigerator, or water pump. I would like to have those things fixed before I head out to where ever I go to.
I guess what I'm saying is to go ahead and panic about the financial crisis. Sell your bonds and stocks and buy gold and silver.

Maybe I can live on the streets in my motor home and hunt rabbits for food. It might not be that bad but I feel that it will be. I hope to be in California and prospecting for gold by the time it hits.

Yet another get rich quick scheme bites the dust.
Well, my hopes of making a lot of money by buying gold jewelery on EBay was shot down, today. It turned out that none of the stuff I sent in that was labeled as 14 and 10 karat gold was real. I was only paid for a ring that I pretty much knew was gold. I ended up paying 15% to get it sold.
I still am waiting for a bunch of old watches in which I hope I can find a gold band. I paid $100 for a bunch of 110 old watches. If one of them has a gold band or case I'll make out.
Of course, I'm being arrogant. I'm thinking that the seller on EBay is so stupid that they are letting valuable things go for little or nothing. I'm just being crazy again and thinking that I can out-smart the other guy. I always lose on these things. It's my delusions of grandeur again. I have to face the fact that I will always be poor and there is nothing I can do about it. I always lose money trying to make one or other get-rich schemes working.
I suppose that going out to California to pan gold is another soon-to-fail scheme. Most likely the gold that was to be found on the Klamath River was found there before the start of the 20th Century. They were taking gold out of there in the 1850's. It's probably all gone by now.
I decided not to go this Fall unless I get the accounting job. I'll go out next Spring if I don't get the job. I should know about the job by the end of the week.
The motor home is still in the shop. I asked the mechanic if he had done anything to it, last Saturday. He said that he hadn't had the time to get to it. At least it drives fairly well. I should be able to get it to California. I just don't know if anything like the furnace works. The last I heard, nothing worked.
On a different topic, the Ebola outbreak is getting worse, apparently. The number of cases is now around 1200. They are shutting down air travel between some countries. It's starting to make the main stream media.
I don't know what I'll do if the pandemic spreads to here. I've got a bug out vehicle but where do you go for an epidemic? Maybe I'll just move to LaCrosse and start hanging out at the Christian Science reading room. That's probably as good a plan as any.
I was just now talking to Jim and Sherry about the Ebola epidemic. I told them that they should consider getting a trailer and getting their land at Harper's Ferry ready for bugging out. They could get electricity hooked up there and be ready for living there. Maybe I could bug out there. It would be as isolated as I could get. It's out in the country about 1/2 mile from any neighbors. I'll have to talk with them about bugging out there.

Slow Day at the Peace Center
It's a slow day at the Peace and Justice Center. I'm waiting to hear from someone at Sumac about why the printer doesn't work with Sumac's software. Everything else works.
Everybody is at the fundraising taco sales at the Methodist Church. I'm just watching the phone and waiting for people to come by.
My RV is running pretty well. I'll be able to go out to California if I get the job at the gold prospecting place. I'm waiting to hear about all of the electrical stuff in the living section of it. There is a short in the 12 volt line so nothing is working, now. It's at a repair shop at the top of the hill, by the airport. Decorah is in a bowl that was caused by an asteroid strike millions of years ago, so in any direction out of Decorah you go up a hill.
I sent some gold off to a refiner, yesterday. It looks like I'll get a lot for it but I don't know how much is real and how much is just plated. I'll know next week. I have a good notion to leave it in gold since I don't trust the currency, that much. If they insist on paying me I'll have a lot more money to go to California with.
I'm watching the Ebola outbreak in the news. The mainstream media isn't making much of it, yet. I found an article that described how nations in the area of it are responding. It looks like they are taking it very seriously. I hope that they can stop it before it gets here but I doubt that they will be able to. It looks like the speed of it spreading is slowing down. It could be that sick people are hiding and not reporting it. That is something that seems to be happening in West Africa. There were reports of hotels that are normally full now being down to 1/3 capacity; so the panic may be starting. I expect the panic to take down the world's economy if it's as bad as I think it may be. We'll know in a few months.
It appears that the U.S.A. is determined to get into a war with Russia. They are accusing the Russians of shelling the Ukrainian forces from Russia. It looks to me like they will do anything to stop someone from using a different currency than the dollar to buy oil.
The news about the shooting down of the Malaysian airliner looks like a "false flag" event to me. That means that someone does something and blames someone else so they can go to war or something. The U.S. is big on that.

Welcome to my Readers from Moldova
For some unknown reason I'm getting a lot of readers from Moldova. I had to Google it. That could be bad because the United States always gets into wars with countries that I have to look up. You are close to the Ukraine so I hope there is no spillover from there.
Maybe people, there, are moving into motor homes like me. The economy is so bad, here, that a lot of people are moving into something that they can live in on the street. And it's not about to get any better.
Talking about the motor home, I had a lot of bad news, today. I'll have to replace the furnace, water heater and refrigerator. That will set me back by several hundred dollars. I'm wondering if a plumber could fix these things. I'll find out Monday. I'll call a plumber who I know works on mobile homes and see if he can repair my motor home. If I'm lucky, he'll fix up everything.
Maybe we can get a discussion going. I'm leaning towards believing that the United States was behind the airliner getting shot down in the Ukraine. It reminds me of the way the 9/11 thing was staged to invade a country for oil. I still don't know how they justified invading Iraq but they did. Now it looks to me like the U.S.A wants to invade Russia so they staged a "false flag" event. After a few days, the mainstream media will be calling for war with Russia. I don't see any reason that Russia or the Russian separatists would want to bring the world down on themselves by shooting down an airliner. It looks like something the war-mongers in the United States would do. That's my opinion. Feel free to leave comments. I haven't gotten any for a few years.

I heard from Kelly at the "Camp Site" RV dealer, today. My motor home is ready to go.
Apparently somebody miswired the batteries to the living area. The positive terminal was grounded. I wired it up the way that looked right ( red to positive and black to negative). Someone had wires switched before I got it. I don't know how it ran at all. I hope it didn't hurt the batteries.
The New 49ers sent me an application for the job they have open. I just need to fill it out and get going. Of course, I don't have any experience as an accountant. That is a problem. If they don't hire me for that job maybe I can get the night watchman job. That would provide me with a place to park and live in my motor home for free.
I talked with Gary about taking me to Cresco to pick up the motor home. He was busy, next week. Then Dan came by and he said that he would ride his bicycle to Cresco and pick it up Tuesday. Dan is a bicycle fanatic and Tuesday is his day off from work. That will work for me. I need to buy him dinner sometime.
I'm still wondering if the shocks need to be replaced and if the brakes need work. Dan can probably tell me both things.
I think I'll be out of here in a couple of months. I only hope that I get the job in Happy Camp. That would be the icing on the cake.
I need to see if I can sell some of my gold jewelry to a refinery that I found advertising in a treasure hunting magazine. I've gotten over an ounce that Mark the jeweler thinks might be real gold. That could help finance the trip but I'm not sure about selling gold since that's what this trip is all about anyway. I want to accumulate gold for the financial collapse. So why would I sell any? If it turns out to be actual gold maybe I should try to get some more from EBay. I may have really hit the jackpot with a $32 investment, last week.
When I get out to California, I'll just get a device to melt gold and I'll smelt it myself. That way I won't have to rely on refiners. I'll just stack gold in a safe deposit box, or safe.
